AP Course Selections for Fall 2024 - Deadline 5/14/24

On Friday, May 3, the Fall 2024 programming preference process began in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year. Advanced Placement (AP) preference request process for students in Grades 9-11 (current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors) began on 5/3 and then the Elective course preferences will begin.

Students must read and review the key information thoroughly, including the Advanced Placement and Elective descriptions and the required prerequisites/eligibility needed for the respective course/s, so they are prepared to submit preferences correctly and by the designated deadlines. Preferences are used to build overall student programs--we build student programs by prioritizing graduation requirements and by giving each student a minimum of 7.5 periods (Physical Education and Lunch included).

TIMELINE:

May 3, 2024

• AP course preference form in Talos available to students following the order below:
• 2:00 pm – Rising seniors
• 4:00 pm – Rising juniors
• 6:00 pm – Rising sophomores

May 13, 2024 (6:00 pm)

• Programming Presentation via Zoom for Families/Students.
• Register to attend at this link.
• Ask a question in advance by May 11, 2024, using this link.

May 14, 2024 (11:59 pm)

• Deadline to submit AP course preferences in Talos

May 23, 2024 (11:59 pm)

• Deadline to fill out the Z-QT10 form for PSAL student athletes, who may need to travel during 10th period to attend practices and/or competitions

May 24, 2024

• Elective course preference form in Talos available to students following the order below:
• 12:00 pm – Rising seniors
• 3:00 pm – Rising juniors
• 6:00 pm – Rising sophomores
• NOTE: Students will see their respective AP course preferences in which they are approved for in their Talos accounts. Students should use this information when considering ranking their elective choices.

June 3, 2024 (8:00am)

• Deadline to submit elective course preferences in Talos
