All Stuyvesant High School students and faculty/staff are warmly invited to attend this alumni panel event featuring physicians whose careers have changed within medicine. Speakers include:
1) Howard Julien '01: Cardiologist who has transitioned from academia to pharmaceuticals
2) Charles Miller '04: Ophthalmologist who has transitioned to a biotech startup
3) Charlene Ngamwajasat '01: Academic hospitalist who has transitioned to health informatics with the NYC Dept. of Health
4) Deep Parikh '06: Ophthalmologist who has expanded into podcasting and advisory boards
5) Neeraj Singh '01: Academic neurologist currently involved in telemedicine
Participants in this event will learn about the variety of jobs available to physicians, as well as reflections on how the field of medicine is changing.
Those who are interested in biology/medicine, scientific research, startup ventures, and technological applications to healthcare should attend!
