<p>On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, alumni from Stuy, parents, faculty, and friends of Stuyvesant gathered at Tribeca Rooftop to honor notable Stuy alumni and faculty and celebrate Stuyvesant at the Alumni Association's annual <a href="https://www.stuyalumni.org/2023-benefit-for-stuyvesant/"><b>Benefit for Stuyvesant</b></a>.</p><p>Thanks to the generosity of our alumni and supporters, they <b>raised over $275,000 (and still counting)</b> for Stuyvesant.</p><p>This year's “The Golden Pegleg” awards went to to <a href="https://www.stuyalumni.org/2023benefit-henk-rogers/"><b>Henk Rogers ’72</b></a> and honored <a href="https://www.stuyalumni.org/2023benefit-nina-uzoigwe/"><b>Nina Uzoigwe ’17</b></a> and <a href="https://www.stuyalumni.org/2023benefit-jim-lonardo/"><b>Mr. James “Jim” Lonardo</b></a><b>. </b></p><p>The Golden Pegleg was created completely at Stuyvesant. <b>Bill Ni ’19</b> designed the award for the first Benefit in 2019 and the school 3D-printed the individual awards in the Irwin Zahn Innovation Lab.</p><p><a href="https://www.stuyalumni.org/news/2023-benefit-for-stuyvesant-recap-photos/">See photos from the Benefit here.</a></p>
