The SU’s External Affairs department is excited to release the first part of this year's Speaker Series. On Wednesday December 16th from 3pm-4pm, Adam Walker, Programs Coordinator at the Battery Conservancy, will be doing a presentation about Urban Farming. The Battery Conservancy was established in 1994, and over the last 23 years, it has pumped new life into the area and raised capital to transform the once dilapidated area into a tranquil public garden and outdoor oasis. Through the successful initiatives it has taken, The Battery has become a model of conservation and biodiversity efforts.
For this event, Ms. Hill and Mr. McClellan are offering extra credit to students who attend. You will be provided with an exit survey at the end of the event to receive this credit.
