2020 SCHOOL SURVEY DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JUNE 26!

2020 SCHOOL SURVEY DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JUNE 26!

Why Should You Fill Out the NYC 2020 School Survey?

The 2020 NYC School Survey has been released! All students and parents with Talos accounts received their individual online access code for the 2020 School Survey. You will see the code and link every time you log in to your Talos account on your dashboard until the extended deadline of JUNE 26 .  Reminders and codes will be sent out again following the February break.

ALL SURVEYS ARE ONLINE DUE TO THE COVID-19 'NYC PAUSE'.

Each year, all families, teachers, and students in grades 6-12 take the NYC School Survey to share feedback about their schools. Survey feedback can help improve our schools’ learning environment. You can take this year’s survey anytime until June 26, 2020. We cannot track who fills out surveys as it is completely confidential, thus messages and reminders will continue throughout the survey period. We thank you for acting early! Please feel free to disregard reminders after you respond to your survey.

How does your feedback help our school?

  • Your feedback helps us understand what you think our school does well and how you think we can improve.
  • Survey results allow us to reflect on how well we are achieving our school’s goals and mission.
  • School leaders use feedback from the survey to reflect and make improvements to schools and programs. Survey results are also used to help measure school quality.
  • The 2019 NYC School Survey results are available in the School Quality Guide under the "NYC School Survey Results and Quality Review" tab.

Here’s more helpful information:

What should parents/guardians do if they have more than one child in this school?

  • Parents/guardians should complete one survey per school. If a parent/guardian has more than one child in the same school, the parent/guardian should fill out only one survey based on the experience of the oldest child in that school. If a parent/guardian has children enrolled in multiple schools, the parent/guardian should fill out one separate survey for each school.

Is the online survey translated?

Yes. The online survey for parents/guardians and students is provided in English as well as nine additional languages offered by the NYCDOE: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish and Urdu. The online survey is available at NYCSchoolSurvey.org.
